Together Forever (Family)

"Because love is the great commandment, it ought to be at the center of all and everything we do in our own family, in our Church callings, and in our livelihood. Love is the healing balm that repairs rifts in personal and family relationships. It is the bond that unites families, communities, and nations. Love is the power that initiates friendship, tolerance, civility, and respect. It is the source that overcomes divisiveness and hate. Love is the fire that warms our lives with unparalleled joy and divine hope. Love should be our walk and our talk.” President Uchtdorf, Happiness in Family Life

"Don’t treasure up past wrongs, reprocessing them again and again. In a marriage relationship, festering is destructive; forgiving is divine (see D&C 64:9–10). Plead for the guidance of the Spirit of the Lord to forgive wrongs …, to overcome faults, and to strengthen relationships." Elder Oaks, Divorce.

"Wholesome recreation is part of our religion, and a change of pace is necessary, and even its anticipation can lift the spirit.” President Ezra Taft Benson, Do Not Despair

“Do you, my good brethren and sisters, want your families, your children; do you want to be sealed to your fathers and your mothers before you …? If so, then you must begin by teaching at the cradle-side. You are to teach by example as well as precept.” Elder Perry, Becoming Goodly Parents, October 2012.

"The ultimate end of all activity in the Church is to see a husband and his wife and their children happy at home, protected by the principles and laws of the gospel, sealed safely in the covenants of the everlasting priesthood. Husbands and wives should understand that their first calling—from which they will never be released—is to one another and then to their children." President Packer, And a Little Child Shall Lead Them, April 2012.

"Our most important and powerful assignments are in the family. They are important because the family has the opportunity at the start of a child’s life to put feet firmly on the path home.” Help Them on Their Way Home Henry B. Eyring

"Wouldn’t it be only right to put aside our own egotism and pride and begin to open that blessed door of forgiveness to those with whom we struggle—especially to all of our own family?" One Key to a Happy Family, October 2012, President Uchtdorf, Liahona

"Individual progression is fostered in the family, which is ‘central to the Creator’s plan for the eternal destiny of His children.'"Salvation and Exaltation, Russell M. Nelson
